Hey all – just wanted to report that The Nick Summerville Memorial/Benefit Show will take place Friday, October 02, 2009 4:00PM-2:00AM at The Cedarwood (7404 Pacific Hwy East Milton, WA). Some of Tacoma’s best and biggest bands will be on stage to honor Nick Summerville’s life and his contributions to the Tacoma Music Scene. Bands include: Medicine Wheel, The Atomic Outlaws, VIII Days Clean, Top Heavy Crush, The Petting Zu, Faces Pale, and more. There will be a required $10 donation to get in, and all proceeds will go into a trust for Nick’s three children. This event is 21 and over only.

A Nick Summerville tribute CD for $10 will also be available featuring music he’s been involved with throughout his music career. I was given the honor to design the cover and insert as well as contribute with a track. The chronological track list is as follows:

It was a privilege to know and work with Nick. I contributed to a few of his projects (recording, design, misc) and we also worked on an electronic based side project together called ’50 Lashes’. (I hope to re-visit/re-release that material soon). Nick was a great friend and a great talent – I look forward to celebrating his life at the benefit this Friday and I hope all of you can make it out as well! See you there!
